Artificial Intelligence MSc

The aim of the program is to train professionals who understand, develop, and apply artificial intelligence systems; building on a theoretical foundation that ensures the long-term development of their knowledge, they will be able to perform tasks related to the development, creation, implementation, operation, and maintenance of artificial intelligence solutions at a high level, both independently and as part of a team.

During the programme, students become familiar with the full range of tools capable of meeting industrial demands at the highest level. They also acquire the collaboration and modelling skills necessary to solve development tasks within their field of application and can carry out and coordinate research activities related to artificial intelligence. Graduates of the programme are prepared to continue their studies in doctoral training.

What can you learn during the training?

  • Applied mathematical and natural science knowledge related to the field of artificial intelligence, including linear algebra, probability theory, mathematical statistics, numerical methods, operations research, systems and information theory, quantitative methods, signal and image processing, as well as learning theory and approximation theory;
  • Computer science knowledge related to the theoretical and practical background, development, and operation of artificial intelligence (including relevant programming skills, algorithms, and data structures);
  • Software technologies for artificial intelligence (specialized computer architectures, software systems used for AI operations);
  • Artificial intelligence algorithms and technologies, machine learning methods, neural networks, deep learning;
  • Generative artificial intelligence, large language models;
  • Reinforcement learning, architectures of parallel and distributed Artificial Intelligence models.
  • Data security, explainable AI, ethical AI, AI regulation;
  • AI product development, AI-based business models;
  • Decision support systems, multi-agent systems, human–machine collaboration and safety, and trustworthy AI.
  • Overview of AI applications, such as natural language processing, computer vision, robotics, IoT, manufacturing technology, speech processing and synthesis, and intelligent industrial monitoring;
  • AI infrastructure, AI DevOps, MLSecOps, AI cybersecurity

What employment opportunities will you have on graduation?

Artificial intelligence is one of the most rapidly evolving fields today, with a continuously growing global demand for highly qualified professionals. With an MSc degree in Artificial Intelligence Engineering, you will enter the job market with knowledge that is both internationally competitive and directly applicable in industry.

Our graduates can become sought-after experts in a wide range of fields, including:

  • Artificial Intelligence Engineer
  • Machine Learning Engineer
  • Generative AI and Large Language Model Developer
  • AI System Architect, AI Infrastructure and MLOps Engineer
  • Research and Development Engineer (R&D, PhD track)
  • AI-based Product Developer, Technology Consultant

The programme maintains strong connections with leading national and international companies, enabling students to work on real-world industrial challenges and projects during their studies. As a result, graduates are well prepared to pursue careers in the IT sector, automotive industry, telecommunications, healthcare, finance, industrial automation, as well as cybersecurity and defence informatics.

The knowledge gained not only enables rapid employment but also provides a solid foundation for long-term career development. Graduates can progress toward senior developer, expert, or research roles, and the programme also offers an excellent basis for continuing studies at the doctoral level.

If you are looking for a career where you can shape the technologies of the future, make a real impact on the world, and continuously develop your professional skills, this degree is your gateway to the forefront of artificial intelligence.

What are the prerequisites for admission?

A BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Informatics will be accepted with full credit transfer; in other words, no additional credits are required for admission to the program.

If you hold a degree other than those listed above, you must have earned at least 50 credits in the following areas:

  • Mathematics and Computer Science: 20 credits,
  • Information Technology: 30 credits

A condition for admission to the programme is that applicants must have at least 30 credits from the listed fields. Any missing credits must be obtained in parallel with the master’s studies within two semesters of admission, in addition to the prescribed number of credits.
