Program: 11.45- You can get the talar (gown) and the cap in the I. room of the Main building
13.00- Opportunity to take a group-photo on the steps in front of the main entrance
13.15- Rehearsal in the central hall. This is a MUST for everybody. You have to wear TALAR (gown).
14.00- Start of the ceremony
15.00- You have to bring back the talar ASAP to I. room and you will get the diploma supplement
Talars must be returned by 15.30 at the latest!!

Projection: Guests can also follow the events via a projector in the Hall on the 2nd floor.
Guests: No number limitation.
Parking: Due to the graduation ceremony, you can park for free in the university area (Egyetem tér 1.)
Baby's room: The staff of the University of Debrecen's Mental Health and Equality Centre operate a baby's room, which can be found on the ground floor of the main building to the right of the cafeteria.
Talar: Long, sleeveless, black dress. It is not necessary for boys to wear a suit, but we ask that they wear a black or white long-sleeved shirt. Receipt of the gown must be confirmed with a signature.
Diploma supplement: The diploma supplement will be given to the graduates after the gown has been returned. Receipt must be confirmed with a signature.
Diploma certificate: If you do not come to the graduation ceremony, you can pick up the diploma certificate, diploma supplement from the IK Education Office (Kassai út 26. IK-IF21 room) from the week after the graduation ceremony on working days between 9 and 11. We also give the certificate to others with a power of attorney.
Application: In Neptun Administration/Requests “IK Diplomaosztó jelentkezés 2024_06_21”. This is also a must!

Information about receiving the Diploma Certificate
• Please, remember the number on the seating (seating number means: you will receive your degree certificate in the sequence of your seating number) and also remember your side, row and chair.
• At 13.15 – Rehearsal in the Central Hall. We rehearse the walking out of the Central Hall. Participation is a must.
• You must take an oath at the ceremony before receiving the diploma. The text of the oath is said by the vice-rector, after "I" everyone must say their own name out loud.
• The process of receiving the degree:
• The degree is handed over by the Vice-Chancellor, you accept it with both hands, instead of shaking hands, respect each other with a bow.
(Standing with your back to the president's desk or the library entrance, the right side is your right-hand side, the left side is your left-hand side.)
After the Oath, when you hear that „Diploma receipt for graduating students of Informatics Faculty is coming” and the colleague of the Education Office go to the podium, the handing over of the diploma certificate begins.
Students who are sitting in the first row on the left go out after their names are called, receive the diploma, and then go straight back to their seats one by one.
When there are only two people left from the first row, the second row sitting on the left stands up and lines up in the middle. The student sitting in the 10th chair stands at the very front, followed by the others in a row.
When you hear your name, go, and receive your diploma. Then go back to the left in front of the row of chairs and sit back to your seat.
The standing column in the middle keeps going forward, and when there are only 2-3 graduates standing there, the next row will stand up and line up in the middle.

Please make it clear to your guests not to disturb the graduation ceremony with conversation. The many seemingly quiet conversations add up to create a huge noise, due to which even the graduates cannot hear what is being said to them. Those who want to talk can do so outside the main building.
