History - Department of IT Systems and Networks

Our department was established together with the Institute of Informatics in the spring of 2003. Founding members: János SZTRIK (head of dept.), Béla ALMÁSI, Attila KUKI, Ágnes MÁRTON, Edéné RUTHKOVSZKY.

During the years the number of members becomes double, due to the increasing need for software engineering education. There are more and more engineer members of the staff.

As our department is increased, the number of offices in the Mathematics building was not enough so we got some offices in the building of the Life Science Library. In 2011 all of us moved to a corridor of the new building Faculty of Informatics.
